Our story, our mission

Higher Society House of Commerce was inspired by lived experience. I know what it feels like to be homeless because I experienced homelessness for two years. During that time, I saw how difficult, unsafe, and discouraging it can be for people who are already struggling.

Being homeless is not just about having no place to sleep. It can mean living in unsafe environments, being surrounded by drug use indoors, not having privacy, not feeling protected, and not being treated with the dignity every human being deserves. I also experienced places where cleaning and basic care were not taken seriously, while staff were still very strict about certain rules. That kind of environment can make people feel controlled instead of supported.

My experience showed me that many people experiencing homelessness need more than a temporary bed. They need a safe, clean, respectful, and supportive place where they can begin to heal, rebuild, and move forward.

The biggest dream for Higher Society House of Commerce is to create a safe, clean, and supportive tiny-home community where people experiencing homelessness are treated with dignity, respect, and real care. My goal is not just to give people a place to sleep. My goal is to help people rebuild their lives.

I want to create a community where people have their own safe space, access to bathrooms, showers, laundry, food, recovery support, mental health resources, life-skills training, employment support, and people around them who actually care. The dream is to help people move from survival mode into stability. I want people to feel safe again, believe in themselves again, heal from trauma, reconnect with family where possible, overcome addictions, find purpose, and eventually become independent.

Higher Society House of Commerce is about more than tiny homes. It is about restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity for people who have been forgotten or judged by society.
